Sweet game this afternoon in Major League Baseball between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Toronto Blue Jays! So, now, it is time to turn to things less sweet.
Today, a poll done for the LCN (TV) branch of Québec white nationalist with a history of violence Pierre-Karl Péladeau's media empire indicates that Péladeau's rival white nationalist François Legault and his Coalition avenir Quêbec command 37% of the vote overall, and 44% among Gaspesians, who comprise 6 out of the 8 million people in Québec. Péladeau's party, the CAQ's rival for the white nationalist vote, the Parti Québecois, commands 19% of the vote overall. The incompetent, brutal and corrupt, but at least sometimes anti-racist, ruling Liberals command 28% of the vote overall.
The election is this October, and a lot can happen between now and then. If the trends captured by the aforementioned poll continue, however, it looks like Legault will be the next Premier (Governor/First Minister/Minister-Präsident) of Québec.
Some would say that I am a leftist and a multiculturalist for calling Legault a white nationalist and equating him with Richard Spencer, Mark Collett and Mike Enoch. I am nothing of the kind. I put Legault in the same ballpark as Spencer, Collett and Enoch for the following reason. Last summer, Legault said thisabout the influx of Haitian refugees.

This makes Legault sound mild and milquetoast compared to Spencer, Collett and Enoch. It almost makes him a "Tommy Robinson" who can speak neither English nor French. (Despite what you might have heard about "French is the official language of Québec, listen to Legault for one minute and you will know that he does not speak French. Emmanuel Macron, who, whatever his faults, is actually a REALFrenchman, does not say "OSTY DE COWLIS DE TABARNAK!" every time he opens his hole. REALFrenchmen speak REAL French, while Legault thinks he is speaking French, but actually speaks Gaspesian.) The reason Legault's discourse above puts him in the same camp as Spencer, Collett and Enoch is that only 10% of the Haitians he railed about were accepted into Canada as a whole. Legault is simply race-baiting for votes.
This is unsurprising in a couple of senses. It is unsurprising in that Legault represents a riding smack-dab in the middle of Gaspesie, aka Deliverance-country, where there are few Blacks/Africans of any kind, making Blacks/Africans Legault's perfect bogeymen, since few Gaspesians ever saw a Haitian in the entirety of their lives. It is also unsurprising in that Legault is a pimp, a hustler who changes ideas once he sees what he is pimping ain't selling.
I live in Montréal. I was born here, and I have been living back here for some decades now after having spent my formative years in New York. In these decades, I have come across plenty of Blacks/Africans and Muslims, unlike Legault's base. The Blacks/Africans of Montréal, just like the Muslims of Montréal, generally tend to be better Frenchmen than does the average Gaspesian. The Blacks/Africans and Muslims of Montréal speak REALFrench in the sense of "Oui. Non. Compris. Terminé." ["Yes. No. Understood. Over and out."] Gaspesians simply cannot grasp the concept of "Yes" and "No." Are there some Robert Mugabe types among the Blacks/Africans in Montréal? Yes. In my experience, however, they are vastly outnumbered by the Walter Tull/Kings' African Rifles/AMISOM types.
As for Muslims, there have been two partisan attacks, and one attempted partisan attack, in Canada as a whole, those perpetrated by Martin Couture-Rouleau in Québec and Michael Zihaf-Bibeau in Ottawa, and the one planned by Aaron Driver. Zihaf-Bibeau was half-Muslim, half-Gaspesian. Couture-Rouleau was a full-blooded Gaspesian who, like Aaron Driver, converted to Islam just like Alek Minassian was converted to Incelism, because he could not make friends in real life. Zihaf-Bibeau was born in Canada, as were the other two. This means that the partisan attacks that happened in Canada were not perpetrated by Muslim immigrants, but rather by Canadian-born losers who spent all their time on the Intar-Webs, and thought that whatever they saw on the Intar-Webs was real. This makes Canada rather different from the UK and continental Europe as far as the partisan situation goes.
As far as Muslims violating Canadian law, Canada does not follow the Rotherham model. Members of the Shafia family killed female relatives for violating Islamic law, and were swiftly nicked, tried and jailed for it, end of story. This, also, makes Canada, and Québec, quite different from Rotherham and continental Europe. In Montréal, my experience over the decades has been that natural-born Muslims, even the uniformed ones, do not behave any differently from everyone else. Legault knows this too. That is why his targeting immigrants makes him a racist, if only for profit, and not someone who is legitimately concerned about terrorism and crime.
What is more, Legault does not just target Blacks/Africans and Muslims. He also targets Britons, who he would ban from entering Québec because they do not speak French. This in a Province which recently tried to entirely ban store clerks from greeting customers in English. This shows the fallacy of white nationalism. Legault, unlike Spencer, Collett and Enoch, is at least honest. He openly admits that, after getting rid of Blacks/Africans and Muslims, he would also go after white people who speak English, like Sinn Fein-IRA are doing with their Irish Language act.
So, François Legault is a white nationalist who targets whites who speak English just as readily as he targets Blacks/Africans and Muslims. He is also an opportunist who, if he wins this October, will only last until the next election. Legault, you see, did not discover white nationalism until last summer. Before that, he was basically the French version of Kevin O'Leary, which is to say he rips off Ayn Rand wholesale, then further tarnishes Rand's name by spouting her principles in his very best Gordon Gekko imitation. Read his book. This will be his downfall. Québec is the most collectivist place on the planet. Unlike New York just to the south, anyone who produces Maple Syrup in Québec must go through the Québec Maple Syrup cartel, a cartel whose popularity shows no sign of abating. Québec is the most collectivist place on the planet outside of North Korea and Venezuela, differing from the latter two in that Québec is voluntarilycollectivist.
Once Legault has expelled all the Blacks/Africans and English-speaking whites from Québec, he will have to find another horse to ride. Not being an original thinker, he will fall back to Ayn Rand. When he starts privatising things port and starboard, his fellow Gaspesians will swiftly vote him out.
