This is going to make me a lot more enemies than it will be friends. So be it. I am a New York-bred asshole.
First, let me deal with something out of where I live now, lest I be accused of being a hypocrite. In today's cyber-indaba, I like neither Donald Trump nor Justin Trudeau. I am a conservative, but, unlike Pat Buchanan and others I could name, I did not surrender my critical faculties in November 2016. For one thing, while the current tenant of 1600 has a problem with certain terrorists, he has no problem with other terrorists.
Trudeau is just the same in this regard. He makes all kinds of noises about "feminism," then goes on to sell tankettes to Saudi Arabia, which, unlike adult entertainment and video games, actuallyoppresses women.
Trump and Trudeau are standard-issue politicians who change positions as frequently as they change their underwear. Consistency is not big with either man.
This segues nicely into the main topic of this entry, which is "Tommy Robinson"'s supporters. Yes, I say "Tommy Robinson" in quotation marks because "Tommy Robinson" is a stage name for a man whose actual ethnicity is exactly identical to that of the man on the left of the photo above, the one with the beard, but who conned a lot of suckers in the UK and on the Intar-Webs, most especially among YouTubes mopes like Sargon and Vee and Andy Warski, into thinking that he is "English."
But first, a little background is in order.
In Killing Zone, former Para and SAS soldier "Harry McCallion" opens the section on his service with the Royal Ulster Constabulary along the following lines.
"In Ulster, there are three religions, Protestant, Catholic and Police."
"Something commonly heard in Ulster is as follows.
'Who's that you're beating?'
'A peeler'
'Let me at him too!'
'Fuck off and find one of your own to hit!'"
One of my distant relatives on my mother's side was a General in Cromwell's army. A distant cousin of my mother, one she cannot openly acknowledge in Québec, was a signatory to the Solemn League and Covenant. So, what I am about to say is what the lawyer folks on the TV show Law&Order like to call "statement against interest" as far as my politics, as well as with the kinsmen I most identify with, are concerned.
The first RUC Constable to die in the Troubles, Victor Arbuckle, was murdered by Protestants. These Protestants are no better than Sean Bell, Mumia, Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Antifa, Tommy Robinson's followers and anyone else who attacks police.
I do not care what your politics are. If your politics differ from mine and you attack the police like rioters did at the G7 at Malbaie this week, you are a scumbag. If your culture and politics are similar to mine, yet you shoot a Police Constable like Victor Arbuckle, you are as much of a scumbag as the rioters of Malbaie.
So, it is only consistent of me to condemn "Tommy Robinson"'s followers for attacking the police.
Where is it that I learned that "Tommy Robinson"'s followers attacked police? From the Twitter account of Devon and Cornwall Police Armed Response Vehicle Sergeant Harry Tangye, who is not exactly famous for being a repeater station for Lilly Allen, Jeremy Corbyn, Antifa and Owen Jones.
If "Robinson"'s followers attacking police to begin with was not bad in and of itself, there was this gem of a tweet in response to Sergeant Tangye:
is the msm had reported the events leading up to this correctly then probably there wouldn't have even been a protest and tr wouldn't have become a martyr , when the silenced people in the middle , hard working regular people are getting treated like fools this is what happens
I have heard this line of bovine scatology a lot as of late. Most of it comes from Sinn Fein/IRA trying to get parks named after mass murderers they hagiographise out to be "martyrs." Some of it comes from those who say that it is Israel that makes Hamas do what Hamas does.
If "Tommy Robinson"'s fucking followers act like fucking Sinn Fein/IRA and like the legions of Intar-Webs Hamas apologists, then, they are NO FUCKING BETTER THAN and NO FUCKING DIFFERENT FROM Sinn Fein/IRA and Hamas and all the Antifa thugs they purport to be against. They just happen to be different brands of the same assholery. Just like the Kurds who rioted and cost a Montreal Police Constable an eye, which is why I never had sympathy for the Kurds just because they also happened to be fighting ISIS. Just like the soon-to-assume-room temperature Charles Krauthammer is exactly identical to Richard Spencer in that both are K-Street pimps, the sole differences being in specifics of wares and marks.
What is more, Sergeant Tangye retweeted this from UK Cop Humour.
This newspaper article confirms that the Police Medic shown above was wounded by a "Tommy Robinson" supporter.
Truth be told, I was never a fan of "Tommy Robinson" because he is fraud who is lying about being British to get ahead. That his followers are now attacking police makes me like him even less.
Let me put it another way. If you have a problem with the behaviour deplored by Terrence K. Williams in the video in this tweet, but do not have a problem with what "Tommy Robinson"'s followers did to police--and vice versa--you are nothing more than an opportunist and a pimp who exploits police as you see fit, and fuck you very much!
And, now, I want to end with a couple of plugs.
I first heard of this group on TSN 690. They are called Hockey Helps The Homeless, and they raise money for homeless people by hosting hockey tournaments featuring National Hockey League players and ordinary civilians.
McLaren alumni Sergio "Checo" Perez is collecting money for the victims of the recent earthquakes in Mexico through his foundation.
Puerto Rico has been devastated by Hurricane Maria. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has set up The Empire State Relief And Recovery Effort For Puerto Rico.
On the subject of Puerto Rico, Los Angeles Chef José Andrés has set up an organisation, called World Central Kitchen, to help feed the hungry, not only in Puerto Rico, but in other bad-off places in the world. Please donate or help if you can.
I also want to plug the Patreons of a couple of superb folks. First, there is Jordan Owen, superb musician and content creator. Then, there is Sunny Megatron, Sex Educator and Podcaster. And there is also director extraordinaire and podcaster Holly Randall. They are, all three, highly entertaining to watch. They have the charm and magnetic charisma of The Kylie Ireland Show podcast of a decade ago, starring the legendary, one and only Kylie Ireland and Eli Cross.
