A Hypothetical On How Scumbaggery Perpetuating Scumbaggery Can Devastate An Industry

In a recent documentary on Steven Gerrard taking over The Famous, Mr. Gerrard said something to the effect of "We cannot focus exclusively on" septic, and "We have to rebuild Rangers and think of the whole of Scottish football." This sentiment was echoed by Trevor Francis who said that Brand-X are at the top of the game and knocking them out would be unrealistic for this campaign. Given how aerodynamics and probability marry up in real life (as opposed to in Hollywood action-adventure filims like The Avengers and so forth), and given that the outcome of each game in and of itself is a discrete entity, independent of both the outcome of the previous game and of that of the following game, how this campaign will eventually turn out is anyone's guess at this point.

But Steven Gerrard and Trevor Francis aredoing what they can. They arebeing responsible by looking to the future while focusing on what they feasibly can do to affect that future. Today, I am going to write about a hypothetical wherein a certain business entity within the adult entertainment industry failedto do just that, a failurewhich led to devastating consequences for the industry as a whole.

Specifically, I am talking about the recent officialallegations made against an individual commonly known within the industry as the Earl of Pimpwich. I am not using the Earl's real name, not out of any respect for the Earl, not because I do not want to comment on an ongoing investigation, but rather because I have no intention of smartening up any YouTubes mopes like Andy Warski, who claims to be a heavy user of adult entertainment products but who is dumb enough to invite Puke Fjord on his show. In the words of the legendary, one and only, Eli Cross, "I’m not going to do the rest of the homework for you."

Plus, I have to admit to indulging in more than a little bit of schadenfreude every time Warski, yet again, makes an ass of himself. Last year at this time, and last December, he was top-of-the-pops after the manufactured Vidcon scandal and after he rode in as a white knight after Kraut&Lies' Supah Secret Server was exposed. Warski was always just a Junior G-Man version of Rob Black. Same annoying, raspy, scractchy voice as if he was an over-eager skin-floutist, same zero evidence of electrical activity between the ears. Then, he shacked up with alt-right Duke University reject Jean-François "Gaspesie" Gariépy, who proceeded to do a pump-and-dump, sans lubrication, on Warski, turning Warski into full Rob Black, which is to say an annoying, bitter has-been spending the entirety of his YouTubes time whinging about all those he imagined wronged him.

So, if Warski, in his unlimited dumbassitude, were to invite the Earl of Pimpwich on his stream and make an even bigger highly public dumbass of himself, well, who am I to rob a starved and jaded public of the solid gold entertainment that that would be?

So, the Earl of Pimpwich. Yes, he has a name. Two of them, actually, stage and real, both long publicly known. But, say the name "Earl of Pimpwich" to anyone who has been following the adult entertainment industry--beyond merely being just another simian end-user--and they know who you are talking about. The Earl runs a talent agency. Recently, several performers have come forward officially alleging (as in to Labour Commission and not by using a Court of Star Chamber hashtag) that the Earl abused them and engaged in sex trafficking somewhat along the lines of what recently made Allison Mack famous again about a decade after Smallvillewent off the air.

This is the first time that I know of that someone has gone to the proper authorities to file an official complaint. It is far from the first time, however, that people who follow the industry have heard of stories like this concerning the Earl of Pimpwich. Ten years ago, across various now-defunct or under new management sites, there were postings left, right, centre, up, down, back and forward that the Earl was using his talent agency to force performers to have sex with him, and and to force them to escort. Given that many of these sites were scummy, run by scummy people, and had even scummier people--most of the latter being industry wash-outs with an axe to grind--posting on them, what was said on them regarding the Earl was generally regarded with some degree of skepticism. Could it have been that a gaggle of industry failures ganged up to vent their frustrations on the Earl, who was regarded as one of the powerhouses in the industry? Yes. Could the fact that the Earl of Pimpwich was consistently called the Earl of Pimpwich over the span of several years have been an indicator that there was a degree of truth behind the consistent allegations of sexual abuse and forced prostitution of talent? Yes. These two cases are and were not mutually exclusive.

What is more, the adult industry is comprised of perhaps the most persecuted people on the planet. When fundamentalist conservatives and social justice jihadists hate you and want to destroy you, you are genuinely being persecuted, unlike, say, those who have "had their childhoods ruined" by the 2016 Ghostbusters, or those who say that there is a coordinated police conspiracy to murder them when policing in America is extremely devolved, every state, city, municipality and county has its own law enforcement agency, each agency with its own protocols, each agency jealously guarding its turf and cooperating with outside agencies only with extreme reluctance. This persecution of the adult industry led to an understandable circling of the wagons. While it was right for the industry to organise to defend itself, one extremely unfortunate consequence of this is that the nefarious elements of the industry were defended under "Fall in Behind the Major!" just as was the vast number of people in the industry who are hard-working, kind-hearted professionals.

From what I can gather, the case of the Earl of Pimpwich is ongoing. The Earl has yet to be found guilty or not guilty of anything. For this reason, I cannot personally pronounce myself on allegations still under examination. Canadian NDP (socialist) Member of Parliament Christine Moore alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Liberal MPs Scott Andrews and Massimo Pacetti, only to be then accused of sexually abused a wounded Canadian soldier. A recent internal party investigation determined that Moore had not done anything wrong, even though the soldier in question has said, along the lines of Lucy Decoutere, that the power structure is why he was denied justice. For someone who is not a party to these proceedings, in other words, it is difficult to know exactly who is being truthful and who is not.

That aside, on the hypotheticalthat the Earl is indeed guilty as charged, his alleged actions may be, in part, responsible, for a devastation that was visited upon the industry in the earlier part of this decade. One of the Earl's right-hand men, you see, is another controversial individual in the industry. This individual--I'll call him the Egg-- was notorious as a crossover performer (one who works both sides of the industry) who then had a blog where he put out all kinds of dirt on female performers who did not want to work with him because he was a crossover performer. The Egg was a 2000's version of Jessica Drake shaming August Ames to death for refusing to work with crossover performers. As far as I know, unlike Drake, the Egg did not shame any female performer to death.

But the Egg's continued crossover performance and the controversy he courted made him a target for an industry washout known in the industry as the Donkey. The Donkey got several performers to sign a poster saying that they would never perform with the Egg. The Egg, being tight with the Earl, was regarded as a powerhouse within the industry and the Donkey was consequently blacklisted. The Donkey fled to Thailand, where he proceeded to out and doxx every then-current performer in the industry. Performers who never had anything to do with the Egg or the Donkey suddenly found their real names made public, rendering them that more vulnerable to stalkers, harming their post-industry employment prospects, and potentially harming their off-duty relationships.

All of this because the Egg was an irresponsible egomaniac who wanted to have his cake and eat it, who wanted to be a crossover performer and yet have female performers continue to work with him as if he was not a crossover performer, being so puerile and petty as to out any dirt he had on those who said "No!", giving the Donkey an opening to wreak havoc on innocent industry people.

Does the Earl have any material connection to the Donkey versus the Egg feud that wreaked such terrible havoc on the industry at the beginning of his decade other than mere association with the Egg? I do not know for sure one way or another. But I can hypothesise a quid pro quo. I can hypothesise that the Egg was fully aware of the Earl's alleged sexual abuse and sex traffic and remained silent about it, just as long as the Earl remained silent about the Egg pulling a Jessica Drakeon female performers who refused to work with him. In this hypothetical, scumbaggery begets scumbaggery, and, in this case, should the alleged initial scumbaggery be proven to be true before the commission, it will have caused massive damage upon the industry as a whole and upon innocent performers who were not a party to the Egg versus Donkey feud.

The Earl keeps a relatively low public profile. Few people who are mere Andy Warski-type end-users of adult industry products who were not around during the Earl's brief performance career back in the day have heard of him. The Earl is so low-profile that I do not know exactly what he did when the Donkey doxxed the then-entire industry in revenge for the Egg causing him to be run out of town. Given that the Egg and the Earl were tight, however, it is not entirely unreasonable to surmise that the Earl sided with the Egg and helped shield him from the entirely merited criticism that the Egg's pettiness and beef with the Donkey were directly responsible for the Donkey doxxing the industry. This is a favour the Egg could have plausibly extracted from the Earl in exchange for the Egg remaining silent on the Earl's alleged sexual abuse and sex trafficking.

Now, I have to give a massive caveat. The Earl is not representative of adult industry talent agents and agencies. There are some decent agencies who work for their clients, and who look out for their clients' best interests. Former performer Charlie Laine (completely retired from the industry for several years now) who became a talent rep comes most readily to mind. Conservative fundamentalists and social justice jihadists will try to use the Earl the way George Pataki used Colin Ferguson in his successful 1994 New York Gubernatorial campaign. Those of us who support the adult industry must counter this by continually pointing out that the Earl is not representative of industry talent management, or of the industry as a whole.

The industry and those of us who support have an equal duty to call out and denounce scumbaggery that does go on before it reaches Donkey Long doxxing proportions.

And, now, I want to end with a couple of plugs.

I first heard of this group on TSN 690. They are called Hockey Helps The Homeless, and they raise money for homeless people by hosting hockey tournaments featuring National Hockey League players and ordinary civilians.

McLaren alumni Sergio "Checo" Perez is collecting money for the victims of the recent earthquakes in Mexico through his foundation.

Puerto Rico has been devastated by Hurricane Maria. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has set up The Empire State Relief And Recovery Effort For Puerto Rico.

On the subject of Puerto Rico, Los Angeles Chef José Andrés has set up an organisation, called World Central Kitchen, to help feed the hungry, not only in Puerto Rico, but in other bad-off places in the world. Please donate or help if you can.

I also want to plug the Patreons of a couple of superb folks. First, there is Jordan Owen, superb musician and content creator. Then, there is Sunny Megatron, Sex Educator and Podcaster. And there is also director extraordinaire and podcaster Holly Randall. They are, all three, highly entertaining to watch. They have the charm and magnetic charisma of The Kylie Ireland Show podcast of a decade ago, starring the legendary, one and only Kylie Ireland and Eli Cross.
